Sisyphos Lost His Boulder is an experimental animation and research project that uses non-linear 3D simulations as an artistic tool. Starting from simple premises, the project generates iterations in which chance, glitches and failure become decisive for both form and meaning.
By applying dynamic simulations to a classical narrative, the project explores how absurdism, loss of control and unpredictability can be visualised. Unexpected outcomes are treated not as errors, but as new interpretations, with movement, deformation and collapse at the centre of the work.

Sisyphos Lost His Boulder is een experimenteel animatie- en onderzoeksproject waarin non-lineaire 3D-simulaties worden ingezet als artistiek instrument. Vanuit eenvoudige uitgangspunten ontstaan iteraties waarin toeval, glitches en falen bepalend worden voor zowel vorm als betekenis.
Door dynamische simulaties toe te passen op een klassiek narratief onderzoekt het project hoe absurdisme, controleverlies en onvoorspelbaarheid zichtbaar kunnen worden gemaakt. Onverwachte uitkomsten worden daarbij niet behandeld als fouten, maar als nieuwe interpretaties, waarbij beweging, vervorming en instorting centraal staan.
